i-Hear - Hearing Aid App Reviews

I run this app on my old iPhone 4S. It works better better than my doctor-oprescribed hearing aid and cost much less.

I used to wear a commercial hearing aid costing big bucks. Now I run I-Hear on my old iPhone 4S. The sound is noticeably better on the old iPhone and its free. Cant beat that.

I paid $4.99 for this app and was not pleased with it. I dont know how to get my money back, but it was not what I wanted. Yogibear49sc

Best hearing device app iv ever used. Works great. However the transcription part of it is about 29% accurate. More work is needed in that. Or a way to turn it off.

App works well. Just wish there was a way to choose what youre filtering. Would be nice to choose to focus on voices or other background noises. Just a thought...

It does amplify your own voice but does not properly amplify anything else. You will hear voices much quieter than you hoped with a distracting echo. There are other Apps that perform much better than this one. I wonder if I can get a refund. I give one star for trying and because I feel in a generous mood. Dont waste your 99c

Digital noise. Background filter Is useless. Not clear Please refund the money.

Works ok but shuts off when the security screen comes up. Thats no use. Jim

The first time that I Tried it worked great. After that, when I tried the app, all that I heard was a loud humming and whistling sound.

Works pretty well. A little hard to hear with a whole bunch of noises but definitely can be useful.

Hello i. Like the app but. Everything is is ampt as well. I was trying to wAtch tv while my husband was on the p.c. Typing i couldnt hear the tv then i had to turn it up. So high my ears hurt then. So thats not a plus. For itthe good thing is it let me put the. T . V. Very low so others didnt hear it. So i thank u for that atlest smiles

I wanted to be able to watch TV, while lovely wife sleeps. The problems are many, but even with a filter the sounds closest to the mic are so loud I cant really hear the tv or conversations. Its ok.

I left my hearing aids 200 miles away at my place to home to see my family. This is my lifesaver!

Nothing but static on the iPhone 4. I would very much like my $2.99 back please.

I had in-the-canal hearing aids and they were never right. Lots of trips to readjust and nothing. For $2.99 I can now understand everyone! It must be amplifying the frequencies I lost and it may not work for others, but I am very satisfied.

I would like my money back. This is only junk

Ive tried a few of these iPhone Hearing Aid apps now and this is by far the best! Others just dont give you the amplification you need or the are really complicated, but not this one. I have an iPhone 5 and Bose noise canceling earbuds with a microphone. This app works great! Up until the recent release there was a bug related to when you turned it off you couldnt turn it back on, so you had to go into the app menu at the bottom and turn the app off in the system. But thats been fixed so now I can switch from cell phone to iTunes to hearing aid seamlessly and quickly. For someone who is as hearing challenged as I am (Ive been wearing hearing aids since I was 28 years old), this is a godsend! To think that I paid $5000 for each of my two hearing aids, and now Im getting nearly the same level of service from a $1.99 iPhone app is just mind-boggling.

If your earring aids are damaged, or in my case being repaired then this is an acceptable substitute but not a permanent solution.
